Kristin Zauel , Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist, working in private practice in downtown Boise,
Idaho. Her practice includes individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychological
evaluations, for children, adolescents, and adults, with a particular emphasis on eating
disorders, adolescent adjustment difficulties, and women’s issues.
Kristin Zauel received her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Richmond, in
Richmond, Virginia. She obtained her Master of Science and Doctoral degrees from the APA (American
Psychological Association) – accredited Clinical Psychology Program at Virginia Commonwealth
University. She completed research, as well as her dissertation, examining causal factors of
eating disorders and body dissatisfaction and the relationship among parent-adolescent
interactions, social support, and self-esteem.
Kristin Zauel, Ph.D., completed her pre-doctoral internship at The Children’s Hospital in Denver,
where she provided psychotherapy to individuals and families with a broad spectrum of
psychological and/or medical difficulties. She completed a postdoctoral residency at the Warm
Springs Counseling Center and Training Institute in Boise, Idaho. She is currently a member of the
American Psychological Association, the Idaho Psychological Association, and a charter member of
the National Eating Disorders Association. |
